Sexual Predators
Dear Parents:
I am informing you about the sexual predators who are on MySpace and Crush spot. You should be more careful about what your children are doing on the internet. Make sure your kids aren’t putting graphic pictures on the internet, which can attract sexual predators to them. To be safe, you should never let your child go on a date with someone that they met on the internet, because you never know what those person’s intentions are. Know what sites your kids are on and if they don’t tell you, you can go back to the history. If you don’t have a problem with your child having a MySpace or Facebook, you can put it on “private mode” so that you can feel safer that your child is on these sites. Private mode is a setting that keeps unwanted people from looking at the profile page. You should test out the sites that your kids want to go on before they get on the site. This will help you decide how safe it is and the risks that come with your child being on the sites.
If you are really unsure about your child being on the site, how about you get on the sites and become their “friend”? This can help you know everything they are doing, and ensure your child’s safety. If your child tells you that you’re being unfair, or not trusting them, just say: “I am being a good parent and if you don’t like it you can just get off the site”. If your child does not know a person who they’re going to add as a friend, don’t let them. Make sure they know in the future to decline anyone they don’t know who requests to be their friend
Only let your child on the internet when you are around. This can help you guide them, and show them how to act appropriately while on the internet. It is vital for your children to learn the dangers of the internet, and this means having the proper supervision.
Sincerely,
Christian

Aids
July 25, 2007
1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC 20500USA
Dear President George W. Bush:
I am writing this letter to talk about AIDS and HIV in this country. It’s growing out of control and it is becoming one of the number one killing diseases in the U.S. The death rate is going up; people with this disease were once able to live until their 60’s and now they’re living until their late 30’s.
Over 37,500,000 people suffer from HIV and AIDS alone; 49% of that count is African Americans. Over 2,500,000 kids suffer from Aids and HIV. Most males and females get AIDS and HIV from their sex partner without even knowing it. They get the disease when they have unprotected sex.
If people would get tested we could probably stop this and find a treatment for this disease. If we can’t afford the resource for AIDS, we can cut the money that we spend on the war since we spend 1.33 billion dollars a day since 2006. We can cut that 25% and we can probably find a cure for this disease.
Homosexuality is the number one leading cause of AIDS for African Americans. The number one leading cause for women is having unprotected sex.
Blacks are at higher risk for HIV and those who are unaware of their partner's risk factors with other STDs (which affect more blacks than any other racial or ethnic group) who live in poverty (which is about one quarter [25%] of all blacks).
To prevent this disease from spreading more we need to get people to get tested. Injection drugs are the number two leading cause of HIV infection for both African American men and women. People who live in poverty find it’s very difficult for them to get health care and get tested. If they can’t afford health care it should be provided to all people who can’t afford it, so everybody can be tested for disease and we can save their life.
Sincerely
